The Amersfoort native only started her World Cup season this year in the third race. In the cross-country, the discipline that is also ridden at the Olympic Games, she finished fourth, second and third successively before booking her first victory in Les Gets. Pieterse had already won the so-called short race twice, the prelude to a World Cup weekend. In Les Gets she just failed to do so on Friday. Keller was the best then.
