An Ohsweken resident faces a slew of charges after failing to slow down and move over for police conducting a traffic stop.
On June 28 at about 1 p.m., a Six Nations police officer was conducting an unrelated traffic stop on Mohawk Road when a speeding pickup truck went by without moving over or slowing down.
When police tried to stop the vehicle, they said the driver used aggressive driving maneuvers and was confrontational toward the officer.
A 32-year-old man is charged with dangerous driving; assault with a weapon; assault peace officer; several weapon possession offences; bullying; stunt driving; speeding; failing to surrender license; fail to slow down and proceed with caution for emergency vehicle; and careless driving.

Waterloo resident charged with stunt driving for second time in three months
A 22-year-old driver from Waterloo has been charged with stunt driving for the second time in less than three months.
Brant OPP were on patrol Thursday at about 4 p.m. on Bishopsgate Road when they clocked a driver travelling 103 km/hr in a 60 km/hr zone.
Also on Thursday, a 29-year-old from Paris travelling more than double the posted speed limit was charged with stunt driving.
Brant OPP were on patrol on Willow Street in Paris at about 8 p.m. when they clocked a driver traveling at 114 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone.
Both of the drivers had their licence suspended for 30 days and the vehicle impounded for 14 days.
Disqualified driver faces more charges

A traffic stop by Six Nations Police on Tuesday led to numerous charges against an already disqualified driver.
Police were on patrol just after 2 p.m. when they saw a vehicle traveling on Tuscarora Road known to be operated by a disqualified driver. They conducted a traffic stop as the vehicle was pulled into a residence.
Police say the driver was resistant while in custody and verbally threatened officers.
A 42-year-old Ohsweken man is charged with operation while prohibited; obstructing peace officer; uttering threats; use plate not authorized for vehicle; driving while under suspension; and driving with no license or insurance.
Man asleep in driver’s set charged with impaired driving
A 44-year-old Ohsweken man was charged with impaired driving after police found him sleeping in the driver’s seat of a vehicle.
On June 30 at about 3 a.m., Six Nations Police were informed of a single-vehicle collision on Seneca Road. Officers had to break the window of the vehicle after failing to wake up the driver.
