Valve has announced new controller support and increased controller usage on Steam.

Valve: “Steam Users Are Using Controllers More”
The distribution of the most popular controllers on the Steam platform was also revealed. Xbox controllers were the most preferred controllers with a 59% share of use. PlayStation controllers came in second with a 26% share. This rate is quite high considering that Xbox controller integration has been a part of Windows for a long time. Steam Deck came in third with a 10% share of use.
Valve, PS5 DualSense Edge It has partnered with Sony to improve PlayStation controller support, including the ‘elite’ controller. It has also stated that third-party PlayStation controllers will be supported on Steam in the future.
Big Picture Mode and New Controller Support

Valve also confirmed that it has partnered with Japanese company HORI to create the new HORIPAD for Steam. This new controller is set to launch in Japan this summer, but it’s not yet clear when it will be released worldwide.
