The history books of the car world are full of different sports cars, but which one is really the best-looking ever?
Kvdbil has tried to find out, and has collected answers to the question from 1,300 Swedes in collaboration with Kantar Sifo.
Here are the 10 sports cars that Swedes think are the most beautiful ever.
1. Porsche 911
According to the Swedes, the most beautiful car model ever is the Porsche 911, which has been built for a number of generations since its introduction in 1964.

The model is known for its characteristic design, and is distinguished by having its six-cylinder boxer engine mounted at the rear of the car.
2. Aston Martin DB5
The second most beautiful car according to the Swedes is the British icon Aston Martin DB5, which for many is closely associated with the Sean Connery era of James Bond.

The beautiful body panels are built in aluminum, and under the hood lurks a straight six of 4.0 liters.
3. Ford Mustang
One of the most iconic American sports cars is the Ford Mustang, which has been produced in a variety of generations since its introduction in 1964.

Over the years, the model has been offered with four-, six- and eight-cylinder engines, and as a coupe, convertible and fastback.
However, whether it is possible to categorize all generations of the Ford Mustang as beautiful is debatable.
4. Volvo P1800
That the Volvo P1800 would end up high on the Swedes’ list of the most beautiful cars of all time was perhaps expected.

The sleek coupé body signed by Pelle Pettersson quickly became a design icon, and was immortalized in the TV series Helgonet with Roger Moore in the lead role.
Under the skin, the car shares mechanics with more common Volvo models such as PV and Amazon.
5. Porsche 356
Porsche is the only car brand with two models on the list of Swedes’ most beautiful cars.

The Porsche 356 is the brand’s first model and was launched in 1948, with a four-cylinder air-cooled boxer engine mounted at the rear.
In 1964, it was replaced by the Porsche 911, which according to the Swedes is the best-looking sports car ever.
6. Jaguar E-type
Another British rolling design icon is the Jaguar E-Type, which saw the light of day in 1961.

The model quickly became a favorite for its sleek shapes, six-cylinder engine and relatively low price, and today it is a favorite among car collectors.
7. Koenigsegg Jesko
The other Swedish entry to the list is the Koenigsegg Jesko, which is one of the latest models from the Ängelholm-based company.

The car has recently broken the record from 0 to 400 to 0 km/h and the price tag is several tens of millions of kroner.
8. Alfa Romeo 8C Competition
The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione is a special model built in a limited edition of 829 cars.

The body is built entirely in carbon fiber and the mechanics are largely borrowed from the Maserati GranTurismo. The cars are, for example, equipped with the same 4.7-liter V8.
9. Chevrolet Corvette
The Chevrolet Corvette is often called “America’s sports car”, and just like the Porsche 911, has been built in a large number of generations and versions over the years.

Most Corvette models have a V8 of traditional American cut, and in the latest C8 version the engine sits in the middle of the car.
10. Ferrari F40
The list is rounded off with one of the most legendary and extreme Ferrari models of all time.

The Ferrari F40 is an 80s icon with a 478 horsepower twin-turbo V8, with carbon fiber, Kevlar and aluminum body panels.
