After Joe Biden’s poorly run election debate, many Democrats believe that the candidate must be changed.
Joe Biden the election candidacy has come under increasing criticism. Even the majority of Democratic Party supporters say that Biden should withdraw from the candidacy and make room for a younger candidate.
Last Thursday’s election debate, which went miserably, has caused the Democrats to panic.
The turmoil was made worse by the US Supreme Court’s decision on Monday, according to which the country’s former presidents have extensive immunity from prosecution even after their term of office. With the decision, a large part of the Republican candidate Donald Trump’s the criminal charges were dropped, improving his chances of returning to the presidency.
Some Democrats want Biden out
The inner circle of the Democratic Party seems to be still behind Biden’s candidacy. At least so far, there have been no spectacular layoffs.
At least there is a debate in the House of Representatives. Texas representative Lloyd Doggett was the first to say he wanted Biden to drop out. Doggett stated on Tuesday that “there is too much at stake” if Biden continues as a candidate and loses to Trump.
Former Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi said in an interview with the MSNBC television channel that it is legitimate to ask whether Biden’s poor performance was just a matter of a weak moment or his overall health.
– When people ask this, it is a legitimate question – for both candidates, he stated.
There is criticism of Biden in the press. Authoritative The New York Times said immediately after the debate that Biden must drop the nomination.
Left leaning The New Republic magazine suggested outright that Biden should also immediately give up the presidency and be replaced by the vice president Terrible for Harris.
Republicans who oppose Trump, i.e. “nevertrumpists” have also been talking about it with Biden’s campaign team.
Biden himself has assured that he will continue the presidential race. He plans to improve his image by appearing in public more than before. On Friday, he appears in an extensive interview with the ABC television channel.

Spouse of a former president?
No top Democratic name has signed up to challenge Biden. However, the media has polled who would be the most popular to replace him and how they might fare against Trump.
In a poll by the CNN news channel, as many as 75 percent of the respondents who registered as Democrats said they wanted “someone else” to replace Biden. Only 25 percent wanted Biden to continue as a candidate.
In a survey commissioned by the Reuters news agency, the former president was unexpectedly named the strongest challenger to Trump Barack Obama’s spouse Michelle Obama. According to the survey, he would beat Trump by up to 11 percentage points, 50-39. However, Michelle Obama already is announced long agothat is not a candidate.
Biden’s vice president?
All other Democrat names would be lost of The New York Times in the poll currently for Trump, although not as much as Biden himself. In that, Biden received 42 percent support, while Trump was supported by 48 percent.

Harris has announced that he will stand by Biden’s side unwaveringly and that he has no intention of standing up against his superior.
Harris is considered to have been overshadowed by Biden as vice president. He has not risen to a very prominent role in American politics. However, if she ends up challenging Trump, she would be the first woman of color to be the presidential candidate of a major US party.
Governor of California?
The governor of California has been brought up as a possible presidential candidate Gavin Newson.
Newson has also been active outside his home state. There have been rumors about him that he would already be campaigning for the 2028 presidential election.
Newsom has also denied wanting to oust Biden.
A Michigan hero?
Governor of the State of Michigan Gretchen Whitmer has been strongly featured in the Democratic presidential nomination campaigns.
He rose to fame in 2020 when a plot in Michigan was revealed in which far-right gunmen planned Whitmer’s kidnapping. The men were caught and received long prison sentences.
Whitmer has declined to challenge Biden.
A senator from Minnesota?
Senator Amy Klobuchar is fairly familiar to US audiences.
He campaigned for the Democratic nomination for the 2020 election, but ended his campaign with Biden’s success.
Klobuchar is seen as a moderate politician who could bring the Democratic Party together. He, too, has not declared himself willing to challenge Biden.
