In Colombia, the Segunda Marquetalia group that broke away from the FARC rebels has agreed to a unilateral ceasefire after negotiations with the country’s administration.
In addition, the group has agreed to release the prisoners it is holding.
Negotiations between the rebels and the regime took place in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela.
The Colombian administration is a leftist president Gustavo Petron initiative sought to offer rebel fighters the opportunity to lay down their weapons.
