In the northern parts of the United States, sandwiched between Minnesota and Michigan, lies the relatively small state of Wisconsin. Thanks to its large dairy production, it has also been popularly called “Dairyland”.
But Wisconsin is also known for being a so-called wave master state. In the 2012 presidential election, the Democrats were voted the largest party, in 2016 the Republicans and in 2020 it was the Democrats again.

And this year, Wisconsin is once again weighing in between the two parties. In a recent poll from The New York Times there is only one percentage point difference between candidates Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
SVT has been on site in Racine county to talk to both Democrats and Republicans ahead of the upcoming election.
– We need to get our voters to vote and make them realize what’s at stake, says Kelly Gallaher, chairwoman of the Racine County Democrats.
