CYCLING Mischa Bredewold has won the fifth stage of the Tour of Thuringia, an individual time trial. The Hooglandse completed the 31.5 km long course in 43 minutes and 4 seconds. With the victory, Bredewold rises to second place in the general classification, 2 minutes and 6 seconds behind the new leader, the American Ruth Edwards. Nina Kessler from Breukelen lost more than four minutes and is in 31st place. Sunday is the last stage. (Saturday June 29)
