TENNIS In the German Kamen, Stephanie Visscher from Elst reached the quarterfinals of the ITF tournament. She did so thanks to a 6-3, 6-3 victory over the Polish Marcelina Podlinska. Guy den Ouden reached the quarterfinals in Brussels. The resident of Breukelen defeated the German Marlon Vankan with 7-6 and 7-5.
In Alkmaar, Soester Abel Forger lost in three sets to fellow countryman Niels Lootsma in the second round: 6-7, 6-4 and 6-7. In doubles, Utrecht Elgin Khoeblal reached the semi-finals together with Daniel Verbeek, Sidane Pontjodikromo from Leersum and Niels Lootsma gave up their quarter-finals without playing. The couple Isis van den Broek (Driebergen) and Britt du Pree (Houten) were eliminated. (Thursday June 27)
