A hybrid car that completely burned out at a gas station in Gouda this morning caught fire again when the recovery vehicle was near Leidsche Rijn. The car had been taken away by a special recovery vehicle with a submersible container, so that it could be submerged. However, the car started burning again on the way. The driver of the recovery vehicle drove to the Berlijnplein in Leidsche Rijn around 10:00, where the fire brigade arrived on the scene. “The recovery vehicle was not filled to the brim, which allowed the fire to continue in the battery pack,” said a spokesperson.
