More Holocaust education is important, these Utrecht history teachers believe

To counter the increasing anti-Semitism, more is needed than just Holocaust education, says the teacher. “Not only anti-Semitism, but also Islamophobia is increasing: the aversion and fear of people with a Muslim background. This is fueled by the current situation in the Palestinian territories, Gaza and Israel. This intense situation divides people, also in the Netherlands, to the core. The conflict also has an effect in the classroom.”
