In August, parents will be entitled to assistance which increases depending on the number of children and their age. Those who have one or two children or more are also affected.

When we have children, we face many costs to educate them and provide for their needs. But fortunately, depending on the situation of the families, assistance can be given to give parents a helping hand. This summer, a significant bonus will be paid to parents for each child in their care. This year, the amount amounts to a minimum of 406.98 euros per child.

The amount paid also depends on the age of the children. Thus, this amount of 406 euros is paid to parents of children aged 6 to 10. Between 11 and 14 years old, parents receive 436.37 euros and for adolescents aged 15 to 18, the amount of aid amounts to 454.59 euros. Consequently, parents with three children attending primary school, for example, will be entitled to 1,218 euros this year. If you have a teenager in middle school and another in high school, you will then be paid 890 euros for two children.

This bonus, paid each year, generally two weeks before the start of the school year, aims to help families meet the numerous expenses linked to the start of the school year. Indeed, with the purchase of school bags, new clothes and school supplies, the price of which increases every year, this allowance is very useful for those who need it.

However, not all parents can benefit from it since it is paid subject to means testing. To be able to receive it, you must not exceed a certain ceiling. If you are eligible, please note that no action is necessary provided you have children in school. As in previous years, the back-to-school allowance should be paid two weeks before the start of the school year which takes place on Monday September 2 this year, i.e. around the week of August 19, 2024.
