A train derailed in Russia, dozens injured | News in brief

In Russia, dozens of people have been injured after a passenger train derailed in the Republic of Komi west of the Ural Mountains. According to the Russian news agency Tassi, there are around 40 injured.

The train was on its way from the city of Vorkuta in northern Russia to the city of Novorossiysk on the Black Sea coast when, according to Tassi, nine of the train’s 14 carriages derailed.

There were more than 200 passengers on the train.
