Emperor of Japan Naruhito will begin an official state visit to Britain today. Emperor and Empress Masako arrived in Britain already on Saturday, but before the start of the state visit they have had a private program.
The emperor couple, who rarely travel, are guests of the British royal family. It is Naruhito’s second state visit since he came to power in 2019.
The imperial couple’s visit lasts until Thursday.
