Drove kids to soccer game – was drunk

It was a Sunday morning in May that the man, on his way home from the match, was stopped at a police checkpoint with three children in the car. He then had an alcohol concentration of 0.75 milligrams per liter, which corresponds to 1.5 parts per thousand in the blood.

The police who stopped the man described him as noticeably affected, as he allegedly smelled of alcohol, and “fumbled” when asked to turn off the car.

The man has admitted the crime and believes that earlier during the weekend he drank in such an amount that he lost judgment and therefore drove a car despite being under the influence.

The Jönköping District Court sentences the man to one month in prison for serious drunken driving.
