After the box office hit The Beekeeper, director David Ayer and lead actor Jason Statham are working together on another action film. The duo will next bring the novel adaptation Levon’s Trade to the screen, for which none other than Sylvester Stallone is contributing the screenplay.
According to Screen Rant, there are in the book a toilet scenewhich is so striking that it absolutely has to appear in the Statham film adaptation.
New Jason Statham cult scene is within reach
In Levon’s Trade, the action star will play ex-soldier Levon Cade, who wants to build a simple life with his daughter. When his superior’s teenage daughter is kidnapped, he must delve into the criminal underworld again.
As Padraig Cotter writes in his Screen Rant article, the book contains a violent and entertaining scenein which the main character grabs a bartender named Johnny, who was on duty during the kidnapping of the target person. Levon ties his victim to a toilet and tries to extract important information from him with these words:
Do you know why you’re tied to this toilet? Because I don’t like cleaning up after it.

In the book, there isn’t even a tougher action like torture, because Johnny is so scared that he tells Levon directly what he wants to know. In any case, the scene screams for a strong star like Statham, who can turn the toilet interrogation into absolute cult material. According to Screen Rant, however, it is not certain whether the scene will make it into the David Ayer film.
When will the Jason Statham action film Levon’s Trade be released in cinemas?
Fans of the action star will have to wait a little longer. Levon’s Trade is coming January 2025 at the earliest to the cinema.
