Police were alerted to a burglary in progress at Systembolaget’s premises on Hantverkaregatan in Emmaboda on Sunday night. At the scene, the police were able to determine that a safe was missing.
– They have brought a safe which probably contains money, i.e. cash, says Henrik Peterson, on-call preliminary investigation leader in Kalmar.
How much money should it be?
– I cannot answer that at the moment.
The perpetrators are said to have broken into the premises through the back door.
– The majority of perpetrators arrive in a car and leave in a car, says Henrik Peterson.
No suspects
During the night, the police set up vehicle checks and brought dog handlers into the area in search of suspects. The area around Systembolaget is cordoned off and the police are now going through the surveillance footage in the store.
A report of theft by burglary has been made. There are currently no suspects.
