It was at 02.14 on the night of Sunday that the police were alerted to an address in Sköndal in southern Stockholm. The evening paper reports that the woman was found dead in a pool, but that’s not something that police want to confirm.
– We were alerted at night about a deceased person at an address, CPR was applied but it was not possible to save the person’s life, says police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl.
Due to “a lot of uncertainty” surrounding the death, the police have opened a preliminary investigation into murder. The arrested man has a close relationship with the woman.
– The most important thing right now is to determine the cause of death. Then we get to investigate whether a crime has been committed or not, we don’t know that yet.
The police do not want to go into more details about the incident at this time.
