Between dusting, washing dishes, laundry and cooking, domestic tasks multiply on a daily basis and a helping hand is often not refused. A fun tip promises to get your kids involved, without flinching.
Children can be real allies in maintaining the house. However, sometimes you have to use more tricks to get them to agree to get involved. One of them immediately won over Internet users, since after posting the scheme on her social networks, the mother in question received more than 670,000 likes and 35,000 comments on her publication. An effective ploy to say the least.
Depending on the age of your children, it may be more or less easy to ask them to help you with household chores. We know that between homework, requests from friends and social networks, adolescents can often be reluctant to arm themselves with a sponge or a broom.
This is why a mother had the clever idea of changing the wifi password of the family connection, in order to motivate them to do housework. She took care to leave a note on the refrigerator stating: “Today’s wifi password can be unlocked by sending mom a photo of the clean kitchen.” Obviously, faced with equally clever teenagers, she added: “The photo should contain a box of crackers on the counter near the stove (to avoid reusing previous photos). Thanks for your participation.”
A method which seems to have borne fruit for many parents judging by the comments. Indeed, we can read among the reactions: “I love it. It was my parenting technique. My teenagers all appreciated”, “High five to this tip”, “It works like a magic trick” or “I do this with my boys!”
For younger people, who are still not interested in the wifi password, there are other tips that may work. The first is to challenge your children on housework. For example, challenge them to empty the dishwasher in less than 10 minutes, with a reward, or offer them to sweep the floor without waking the cat. The chore will, eventually, become fun. You can also offer them three different tasks and ask them which one they like the most, indicating that the other two will be for mom… Clever, right?
