Iranian singer Salihi’s lawyer, Emir Reisiyan, stated in his statement shared on his X social media account that the death sentence given to his client by the Isfahan Revolutionary Court was overturned by the 39th Chamber of the Supreme Court of Appeals.

Stating that the case will be heard again, Reisiyan said, “As expected, the Supreme Court avoided an irreparable judicial error.” he said.

Iranian judicial authorities have not yet made a statement on the issue.

HE WAS DEMANDED TO DEATH

Iranian rap singer Salihi, who was accused of organizing the demonstrations that started in September 2022 in Iran and continued for about 4 months, was sentenced to death, but his sentence was later commuted to prison by the Supreme Court.

Salihi’s lawyer, Emir Reisiyan, stated in his statement on April 24 that the Isfahan Revolutionary Court did not implement the decision of the Supreme Court.

Rap singer Salihi participated in the demonstrations that started in September 2022 and lasted for about 4 months after Mahsa Emini died in police custody and made statements supporting the actions.
