According to the ICRC, the Red Cross field hospital in Gaza received 22 dead and 45 wounded after the explosions, which occurred just outside the zone designated as safe by the Israeli military.
The ICRC office is said to have also been damaged in connection with the shelling. The organization does not say which actor is said to have been behind the attack.

Another man AP spoke to said his sons were killed after they ran out and tried to help people who panicked after the first explosion.

The Hamas-run health authority in Gaza blames Israel for the shelling.
The Israeli military has not confirmed possible involvement, but according to a spokesperson, the matter is “under investigation”.
