The latest patch for Elden Ring introduced a new inventory feature. However, it is disabled by default. We’ll show you how to change that.
What feature is it? The latest patch 1.12 brought numerous changes to Elden Ring. Among other things, a new inventory feature was added.
This is intended to help you keep track of the many items you carry around with you. New items will now be marked with a “!”. This will then look like this:
There is also a new tab in the inventory where the most recently and frequently used items are displayed. This should make it easier to find items that you need frequently.
Anyone who starts the game now will look in vain for the function. New items do not have an “!” next to them. This is because the setting is switched off by default.

How to activate the feature
What do you have to do for this? To activate the setting, simply go to your game menu. In the “Display” tab, you will find two entries at the bottom that you must switch to “On”.
Quite self-explanatory, this enables you to mark new items and also the inventory tab with the most recently used items.
From now on, you should have fewer worries about inventory management. This innovation is a valuable and practical improvement in everyday life in Elden Ring. It also applies to the main game.
