Summer is here and many are looking for strawberries in the heat. But how do you actually know that the strawberries you buy are Swedish?
Sweden’s radio P4 Stockholm has spoken to Anna Benson, who is an author and strawberry expert about some simple tricks you can use to determine if the strawberries are Swedish or not.

– Rumba is the most common type this year. Actually a variety that doesn’t taste much, Anna Benson adds P4 Stockholm.
Also make sure that it says “class 1” on the strawberry box, says the expert.
In a few weeks the Malvina variety will arrive, they are really sweet. They are bright red and have a much more distinct flavor compared to Rumba.
