The Danish Prime Minister said that he sought professional help after the abuse | News in brief

Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen appeared on Thursday for the first time in public since his assault last week. Frederiksen received a slight neck injury in the incident.

Frederiksen said in an interview on Danish television during the Bornholm politics weeks that he sought professional help for the first time in his life after the abuse.

Earlier on Tuesday, Frederiksen said in an interview that he was still not completely himself after the attack.

The 39-year-old Polish man suspected of assaulting the Prime Minister is in pretrial detention. He is suspected of pushing the Prime Minister so that he staggered heavily and injured his neck.
