French electronic components in Israeli drones: this is what the independent media Disclose reveals – with supporting documents. It is the French industrialist Thalès which produces the parts in question. An export contract which raises questions against the backdrop of the war in Gaza.

The transponder is an electronic navigation device. The French industrialist Thalès produces it and the Israeli firm Elbit buys it for its Heron 900 drones. The fact remains that these are exports of sensitive equipment which each time require authorization from the French government.
Delivery interrupted
The independent media Disclosed was able to obtain documents attesting to the order and delivery to Israel of these electronic components, against the background of war in Gaza. However, France signed the Arms Trade Treaty, supposed to prevent arms sales in the event of a risk of human rights violations. According to Ariane Lavrilleux of Disclose, this is perhaps why the delivery was interrupted: only two of the eight transponders finally arrived in Israel.
Risk ” identified »
“ What we interpret is that the fact of having blocked these electronic components in customs, of having suspended Thalès’ export licenses, clearly shows that there is a risk that has been identified by the French authorities, a risk that the equipment will be used in the context of the conflict in Gaza, not to defend itself but to participate in the commission of crimes against civilians “, she says.
NGOs regularly denounce the lack of transparency in which exports of French military equipment take place.
