Brant County OPP charged four impaired drivers within 48 hours.

On June 16 at about 3:45 pm police were called to a two-vehicle collision on Robinson Road at Highway 24. A 49-year-old Toronto man was charged with impaired driving; careless driving; and following too closely.

Also on June 16 at about 6:30 pm, police investigated a collision at Brant County Road 18 near Highway 54. A 28-year-old Brantford man was charged with impaired driving; dangerous operation; fail to remain at the scene of an accident; operate motor vehicle without insurance; G1 license holder unaccompanied by qualified driver; novice driver blood-alcohol content above zero; and use plate not authorized for vehicle.

That same day, at about 5:15 pm, officers saw a driver they say was earlier involved in an alcohol-related incident while pumping gas. The vehicle was stopped on King Edward Street in Paris and a 25-year-old Hamilton woman was charged with operation while impaired.

On June 17 at about 6:23 pm, police got a call about a citizen’s arrest of an impaired driver on Beverly Street in St. George. A 65-year-old Brantford man was charged with driving impaired.

Each driver had their license suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for seven days.
