The athletics GP series continues on Saturday in Kuortane. There have been changes in the list of participants of the Midsummer competitions, because, unlike the previous information, the speed beepers Nooralotta Neziri and Lotta Harala are excluded from the competitions according to the competition organizer.

At the beginning of June, Harala took part in the EC competitions in Rome, where he missed the semi-finals. After his EC run, Harala said that he has a new problem in his hind legs, which is being investigated in Finland.

Neziri was also selected for the European Championships, but he had to miss them due to a plantar tendon injury. Neziri has stated that his goal is to qualify for the Paris Olympics starting in July. As he missed the Kuortanene competitions, his last chance to give Olympic performances will be the Kaleva competitions on the last weekend of June.

Based on the ranking, the Finnish women’s speed swimmers would currently qualify for the Olympics Reetta Hurske and Lotta Harala.

Also a pole vaulter Elina Lampela is left out of Kuortanee’s midsummer competitions. Earlier this week, Lampela participated in the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku, where he finished fifth with a score of 441.
