Subject of the 2024 physics-chemistry baccalaureate: the first test revealed this Wednesday, June 19

Subject of the 2024 physics chemistry baccalaureate the first test revealed

It’s the big day for the final years, the specialty tests begin. For those who chose physics-chemistry, the test begins at 2 p.m. today and the official subject is revealed immediately.

The essential

  • Candidates for the 2024 baccalaureate who have chosen the physics-chemistry specialty will meet for the specialty written test either today or tomorrow in front of their paper, from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • The physics-chemistry subject of the first day of this 2024 baccalaureate session is available today, it can be found below, thanks to our partnership with Studyrama.
  • Another topic will be sent to students taking the test on Thursday June 20, it will also be available on this page.

Like every year, students from French high schools abroad take the exams baccalaureate a few days before students from mainland France, thus allowing candidates from France to discover the first subjects of the baccalaureate. The topics given to students in North America will not be identical to those that other candidates will discover today and tomorrow.

Day 1 :

Day 2:

If these are only approximations, some specialized sites have already speculated on what the subject of the physics-chemistry specialty test could be. For this year 2024, the most likely subjects would be, according to Digischool were: “modeling of acid-base transformations by hydrogen ion transfers”, “direction of evolution of an acid-base system” and “link between the actions applied to a system and its movement”.

Conversely, the topics deemed less likely to fall were: “organic synthesis strategy”, “description of a movement” and “wave phenomena”. These propositions are hypothetical and will remain so until students discover the topics.

The results of the physics-chemistry specialty test will be available from July 8, 2024 as for all other baccalaureate exams. As a reminder, the physics-chemistry exam is made up of two parts, the final mark is obtained by multiplying the mark of the written test by 0.8 and that of the practical test by 0.2.
