A nine-year-old Argentine boy has died after sustaining serious injuries in a crash in the Brazilian junior superbike series.
Lorenzo Somaschini crashed in practice at the Interlagos track Sao Paulo on Friday. According to the organizer, he received medical attention immediately and the situation stabilized, but when the condition worsened, he was rushed to the Albert Einstein Hospital, where he died on Tuesday.
Riders between the ages of 8-16 participate in the Junior Honda Cup on modified motorcycles with a top speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
