▸ Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine continues, with intense attacks in both Donbass and Kharkiv. On June 15, representatives from 100 countries gathered to discuss Ukraine’s future and peace, but the conference ended in disagreement. Several important countries refrained from supporting the declaration for Ukraine, and Russia was not even invited. Instead, Putin presented his own list of demands for peace, which many see as a game to the gallery. At the same time, a kind of race is going on where the countries are trying to increase their support. With Putin in North Korea and Zelenskyy making security deals with the US, peace seems a long way off. What was actually achieved at the summit? What does it take for there to be peace? And what does Putin’s visit to North Korea mean for the war in Ukraine? Guest: Niclas Vent, reporter at Aftonbladet. Producer and presenter: Olivia Bengtsson. Clip in episode: BBC.
