Ukraine’s Attorney General Andriy Kostin’s office states on social media that the country’s military discovered a damaged vehicle belonging to the Ukrainian military while scouting from the air.
There was a severed head of a Ukrainian soldier, the office says.
“We have received information that Russian commanders have ordered not to take Ukrainian soldiers as prisoners, but to kill them with inhuman cruelty – by beheading,” Kostin writes on X.
“It is further proof that the war crimes committed by the aggressor are not isolated events but a planned strategy by the Russian regime,” he claims.
During the war, both Russia and Ukraine have accused each other of allegations that are difficult to verify.
