Swedish ice hockey player Noel Nordh has become the first player to sign a contract with the new NHL club Utah, writes nhl.com.
The 19-year-old forward Noel Nordh from Söderhamn, a doldis in the context, was Arizona’s third choice in the 2023 NHL draft. He accounted for 15 points in the Hockey Allsvenskan for Brynäs last season.
In April, it became clear that the NHL club Arizona Coyotes will move to Salt Lake City in the state of Utah starting next season.

It’s not clear what the new club will actually be called, but during its debut season in the NHL, the club will play with a temporary Utah-branded jersey pending the branding.
The Arizona Coyotes have been purchased by the businessman Ryan Smith which already owns the NBA club Utah Jazz. The previous owner could not secure games in an arena other than the NHL substandard Mullett Arena.
