The alarm to the police came at 01:04 from people who heard explosions in Vetterstorp in western Västerås.
– We have started a preliminary investigation regarding attempted murder and serious weapons crime, says Tobias Ahlén-Svalbro, press spokesperson at Region Mitt.
Several patrols were sent to the scene and the police interviewed witnesses and knocked on doors. A site at Karlavagnsgatan was blocked off for a technical examination. The cordon was lifted in the morning.

There is currently no information that anyone was injured in connection with the shooting, according to the police.

On Sunday morning, no one was detained.
