It was in a motorcade on the way to Buckingham Palace that the first pictures of her were taken, in the back seat together with Prince William and their three children.
About half an hour later she was seen again, in a carriage procession but this time with only her children on their way from Buckingham Palace.
Afterwards, she posed with the rest of the royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
Trooping the Colours
In June each year, over 1,000 parading soldiers, 200 musicians and 400 musicians gather in a large display called “Trooping the Colors” to mark the Regent’s official birthday.
The tradition has been going on for over 260 years and takes place regardless of what day the sitting regent is actually born.
