Program of the National Rally (RN) for the legislative elections: the first avenues mentioned by Jordan Bardella

Program of the National Rally RN for the legislative elections

The RN program for the 2024 legislative elections will undoubtedly be the most observed of all. Immigration law, retirement at 60, reduction in VAT… Here are the first measures announced by Jordan Bardella…

Big winner of the European elections, the National Rally (RN) is preparing for the next stage, that of the legislative elections of June 30 and July 7, 2024. If the far-right party came in first position during the European elections, it will having to face this time a union of the left, which had gone in disarray during the election of June 9 and which presented its program on June 14.

The National Rally’s program for these 2024 legislative elections is not yet fully known. However, the stakes are very high for the RN, which could come to power if it obtains a majority in the national assembly. To defend its place, the party assures its voters that it wants to respond to their “demand for order” and put France’s economic situation back on its feet. Here are the few measures already known on Jordan Bardella becoming Prime Minister in July.

Key measures of the National Rally program

Jordan Bardella, the president of the RN, presented at the microphone of BFMTV a draft of the program which will be defended in the legislative elections which is structured around “three major emergencies : purchasing power, security and immigration”. Secondly, the party will look at the question of pensions.

Immigration and border control

Jordan Bardella pulls no punches and announces on BFMTV that if he becomes Prime Minister after the legislative elections, he will make “the question of immigration and border control” one of his “priorities”, with the objective of removing land law, of “facilitating the expulsions of foreign Islamist delinquents and criminals by lifting administrative constraints”.

A security law will be presented

The president of the National Rally wants to restore order in the country. “In terms of penal policy and security policy, it is time to signal the end of recess,” he said on BFMTV. Among the measures that could be put in place:

  • The reinstatement of “floor” sentences;
  • The abolition of allowances for parents of repeat offenders;
  • The ban on obtaining social housing in the event of a “criminal record as long as your arm”.

Purchasing power, a priority

Jordan Bardella commits to immediately lowering VAT on fuel, electricity, gas and fuel oil to restore the purchasing power of the French if he becomes Prime Minister.

Retirement at 60 years

Secondly, the government of Jordan Bardella will look into the question of pensions, to return to a retirement age of 60 years. Yes, but not for everyone. All “those who started working before the age of 20” and who have contributed 40 years will be able to retire at 60.
