Now Maja Dahlqvist gives her honest view of the future.
The 15th of April filled Maja Dahlqvist 30 years and the sprint specialist has become one of the veterans in the Swedish national ski team. She also had a most memorable birthday when her national team mates and close friends Frida Karlsson and Lynn Svahn offered the best 30th birthday present.
Maja’s birthday
Together with Johan Häggström and Maja’s boyfriend Kevin Bolger they cheated with her on a trip to Lisbon. A dream trip that Dahlqvist longed for for a long time and the holiday also lived up to expectations.
– God yes, really! It was the best week in the world, she tells Expressen.

This autumn it will be ten years since Maja Dahlqvist made her debut at the World Cup. So far, there have been seven Olympic and World Cup medals as well as two victories in the overall Sprint Cup.
Frida’s revelation
Next winter, the skiing WC in Trondheim 2025 is the big goal, and fittingly enough, she and her boyfriend Bolger have moved to the Norwegian city to maximize the conditions for the championship.

But the big question is what happens after that. Frida Karlsson has previously opened up that she may quit after the World Ski Championships in 2027 at home in Falun, also Ebba Andersson have begun to think about the end.
Dahlqvist’s words
For Dahlqvist, who is a few years older than both Frida and Ebba, that reality comes much closer. And of course she also sees the World Ski Championships in Falun in three years as the perfect ending.
– Yes, I can probably say that. That’s how I really think it will be, she admits to the evening newspaper.
– It is a dream season to end my career. With a WC on my super home ground – if I can now maintain the level for three more years. The thoughts came when Falun won the WC. But then there was also the question of whether I would really last that long? But now it’s not that far.

Dahlqvist also does not believe too much that the World Ski Championships in Falun will really be the very last championship of best friend Karlsson, who was only 27 years old at the time.
– I don’t believe in it as much. There is probably a significantly greater chance that Frida will continue after Falun than that I will, she says in the interview.
– She is young after all.
