Princess Madeleine is moving to Sweden – it’s happening now

Princess Madeleine and the children have landed on Swedish soil.
But the move from the USA to Sweden means a new role for the princess, who now “must start working for real”, says Johan T. Lindwall, editor-in-chief of Svensk Damtidning.
– Demands will be made on her now. She has to step up.

On Thursday, Princess Madeleine, together with children Leonore, Nicolas and Adrienne got off the plane in Sweden – and the family’s move to Stockholm was a fact.

Now a new everyday life awaits the royal family, who have lived in Florida in the United States for the past six years.

Johan T. Lindwall believes that the Swedish people will now see a Madeleine who is visible in public and works diligently – especially since Crown Princess Victoria is starting her training to become an officer.

– Demands will be made on her now. She has to step up here now.

“She thinks it’s a lot of work”

The princess has chosen a more withdrawn role in recent years, something that is now changing, according to Johan T. Lindwall.

– She thinks it’s very difficult with this attention and the public light. But now that she is moving home to Stockholm, there will be no excuses not to take on a series of official assignments.

“Expected to start working for real”

If Madeleine chose to continue to stay away from the public, it would not be well received, says Johan T. Lindwall.

– It would look very strange and then the Court and the Swedish royal family will lean towards her not getting appanage, and not belonging to the so-called royal family in that way with contributions, but I don’t think it will be accepted, but now it is expected to see her get to work for real.

The husband and financier Chris O’Neill will also work from Stockholm, where he has started a new company – but according to Johan T. Lindwall, he is said to have a base in another country as well.
