This was the very first ‘World Premiere’ of Summer Games Fest 2024 launched by Geoff Keighley, LEGO Horizon Adventures, however, is a game that was leaked last month by someone who didn’t even know it was a video game. Something which was confirmed a few hours later by Tom Herdersen who announced this announcement as an opening keynote. Co-developed by Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo, LEGO Horizon Adventures will allow us to rediscover the games that TT Games produced for decades before the fashion for LEGO games disappeared, or at least faded. If it will be a spin off which will not take up the events linked to Zero Dawn or Forbidden West, we will however find all the ingredients linked to this atypical universe.
Quite surprisingly, if LEGO Horizon Adventures is expected on PS5 and PC, we also learn that a Nintendo Switch version is also in the works, and that it will be released at the same time as the other games. It’s unclear if the request comes specifically from the LEGO brand (probably), but it’s obvious that the Nintendo audience must be receptive to LEGO games. In all cases, whether Sony or Microsoft, when it is necessary to achieve maximum sales, the barriers of exclusivity no longer exist. The release of LEGO Horizon Adventures is scheduled for the end of the year.
