US President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi have signed a bilateral security agreement between their countries.
President of the United States Joe Biden and the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi have signed a bilateral security agreement between their countries. The presidents signed the agreement today at the G7 summit.
The agreement is similar to the previous ones that Ukraine has signed with at least fifteen other countries.
Biden says at a press conference on Thursday evening Finnish time that he is satisfied with the new 50 billion dollar contract for Ukraine. Earlier today, the G7 countries agreed to send Ukraine $50 billion in aid from frozen Russian funds.
According to him, the agreement will provide money for Ukraine and send a reminder to Putin that we will not back down.
The United States is increasing pressure on Russia, President Joe Biden said. He said the U.S. Treasury Department is making it clear that all banks in the world that deal with sanctioned Russian banks will themselves be put on the sanctions list.
