Since Zack Snyder moved from the DC universe to Netflix, the director has had plenty to do. After Army of the Dead, which was supposed to be the starting signal for a larger franchise, he has now launched the next chapter of an entire sci-fi universe with the two Rebel Moon films this year.
In addition, Snyder has also developed the upcoming animation series Twilight of the Gods for the streaming service. A first video has now been released showing the mix of 300 and Vikings around the Nordic mythology with gods like Thor, Odin and Loki teast. Vikings fans should take a look!

The plot of the animated series revolves around a royal couple who want to get married in a small Viking village. However, the planned wedding is shaken by a terrible event. After that thinks the Bride Sigrid (Sylvia Hoeks) on revenge and gathers a team of different creatures ‒ such as a seer and a dwarf ‒ to challenge one of the gods.
Zack Snyder, who developed Twilight of the Gods as a producer and writer and directed two episodes, has already talked about a lot of sex that will be shown in the series. In addition, the first teaser already makes it clear that the Netflix production will come up with some really bloody action.
When will the new Zack Snyder animated series start on Netflix?
Twilight of the Gods is coming on September 19th 2024 in the streaming provider’s subscription. The series will consist of a total of eight episodes.
