The best car in Sweden is an electric car

IN We Car owners’ consumer survey Autoindex different car models are ranked according to how satisfied the owners are.

A total of 12,766 car owners have responded in the study, which looks at cars of the model years from 2013 to 2023.

Best car model years 2013 – 2016

In the oldest category, which looks at 77 car models, the car with the most satisfied owners in Sweden is somewhat unexpected.

The winner with 915 points is the previous generation of the BMW 1 series, which at the time distinguished itself by being the only rear-wheel drive contribution to the so-called “Golf class”.

In second place we find the Volvo XC70 with 889 points, followed by the BMW X3 with 885.

The worst was the previous generation Renault Mégane which only got 737 points, followed by the Citroen C3 with 749 points. The car with the third lowest rating with 750 points is the Nissan Leaf, which was one of the first electric cars on the market.

Best car model years 2017 – 2019

For the 92 cars in the study of model years 2017 to 2019, the most popular model is the Toyota Auris, which during the period changed its name to Corolla.

The Toyota scored 900 points. Next, the Audi A4 qualified with 895 points, followed by the Mercedes C-Class with 891 points.

The worst for the period was Renault’s small electric car Zoe with 736 points, followed by the Citroën C3 with 757 points. Also during this period, the Nissan Leaf received the third lowest rating with 762 points.

Best car model years 2020 – 2023 is an electric car

When it comes to the category of the newest cars in the study, which includes 150 car models, the electric cars stand out. Both the four cars with the most satisfied owners and the four cars with the most dissatisfied owners are electric cars.

The car model with the most satisfied owners, both in the category and the survey as a whole, is the Mercedes EQE with 925 points.

In second, third and fourth place we find the BMW models i4, iX3 and iX1 with 918, 909 and 909 points respectively.

The two Opel models Mokka-e and Corsa-e fared worst with 728 and 730 points respectively, followed by the two Chinese electric cars MG Marvel R and BYD Atto 3.
