The new ‘store’ on the Amsterdamseweg will open next Monday. Instead of food parcels, people receive a pass with a color system. This allows them to walk around with a shopping cart and choose their groceries from the shelves, just like in a regular supermarket. “There will be a counter with a waiting area. 25 people can enter the supermarket at a time,” Hekman explains. “Vegetables, fruit, milk, bread: we ensure that enough food is available from the five-pack.”
