The Swedes have singled out Frida Karlsson as one of the favourites.
But now she is forced to disappoint everyone and reveals why she refuses to talk summer.
– I will not do it, says the Swedish skiing star to Expressen.
On Tuesday, Sveriges Radio revealed who will be this year’s summer speakers. Among the sports profiles there are well-known names such as Zecira Musovic, Olof Lundh, Ebba Andersson and Alhaji Jeng but again missing Frida Karlsson completely.
Karlsson’s decision
Despite the fact that the Swedish ski star was one of the favorites for summer talk this year. The betting company Betsson had odds on possible candidates for this year’s “Summer in P1” and then Karlsson was in second place with as little as 2.75 times the money.

But Frida is actually shocked that so many people seem to want to hear her talk about herself on the radio.
– What? Now this summer? What can I say then, she says with a laugh to Expressen.
– That I fell once on the mountains last spring? Yes, it was terrible. And then you have to sob a little and tell them that everything will work out. I stand on the starting line in November and then all the scrapes are gone.
Nobbar “Summer”
Nah, Frida Karlsson doesn’t want to make national team colleagues like Ebba Andersson and before Charlotte Kalla company like a summer talker.
– No, I won’t do that, the 24-year-old says firmly to the evening newspaper.

Thus, the national skiing team’s high profile leaves many Swedes disappointed. Instead, Karlsson wants to focus on the pre-season training this summer and prepare as well as possible for the coming winter with the skiing WC 2025 in Trondheim as the big goal.

But Frida still doesn’t close the door to accept Summer in P1 later on.
– Sometime in the future, I really want to talk about summer. It would have been cool to do, she admits in the interview.
