Elected to the European elections thanks to her 30th place on the RN list led by Jordan Bardella, France Jamet is the daughter of Alain Jamet, co-founder of the National Front with Jean-Marie Le Pen.
France Jamet is the daughter of Alain Jamet, co-founder of the National Front with Jean-Marie Le Pen. She appears in 30th position on the National Rally for Europeans 2024 list, a list led by Jordan Bardella. Outgoing MEP within the “Identity and Democracy” group, she will sit for an additional period of 5 years in the European Parliament thanks to the good score achieved by the Lepenist party during these European elections. 30th place is the last seat synonym for the RN which obtained 30 European deputies thanks to its score on Sunday June 9.
Municipal and community councilor in Montpellier
Legal secretary by profession, France Jamet is involved in the trade union world for the CDCA (Confederation for the Defense of Traders and Artisans). She also campaigned in the department of Hérault with Christian Poucet for the defense of traders and artisans. Since coming of age, she has participated in all elections.
Regional councilor since 1998, she was notably president of the FN group at the Languedoc-Roussillon Regional Council. She was also a member of the Political Bureau of the National Front. Currently, France Jamet holds the position of municipal and community councilor in Montpellier in addition to her mandate as MEP.
“Put an end to free trade agreements, stop technocracy”
“For 200 years, our social and democratic pact has been based on our budgetary sovereignty. Today, the EU wants to impose austerity and the destruction of our public services on France! Stop technocracy,” she indicated from Parliament European, comments relayed on its official website on April 24. She regularly highlights the defense of maritime professions. For her, it will be necessary to “put an end to free trade treaties, renegotiate post-Brexit agreements, develop the blue economy without forgetting seaweed farming and give a legal status for seafood products (WTO)”.
