The beginning of June has been marked by cooler winds and showers, and many are wondering when the sun will make a proper appearance.
But the turn is coming, albeit not as strongly as one might have wished.
– It looks like gradually turning towards warmer weather during the next week, says meteorologist Ulrika Elvgren.
Summer is here, but it hasn’t brought the warmth that many sun worshipers might have hoped for. The heat from May has disappeared and been replaced by cold and rain.
– Most of this week looks to offer cool weather, we have low temperatures for the season, which can give us more of a feeling of spring or autumn, says TV4’s meteorologist Ulrika Elvgren.
Nevertheless, there are areas that get fewer showers and a chance for summer heat with temperatures just above 20 degrees.
But the rain is not only bad.
– The risk of fire is decreasing more and more as a result of the rainy weather and in the end it is only on Gotland that it is still dry, says Ulrika Elvgren.
Then it turns around
Over the next week it looks like it will gradually turn, although the unsettled weather has not completely let go. It is usually the sunniest on the coast.
– Things are slowly turning over next week, even if the battle between high-pressure ridges and low-pressure ridges looks set to continue. In connection with sunnier weather, we can expect 20-25 degrees, but the details are still uncertain, says meteorologist Ulrika Elvgren.
But the big question that everyone is asking cannot yet be answered.
– It is too early to comment on Midsummer Eve, the details are very elusive when we are affected by both warm summer air and low pressure traffic, says Ulrika Elvgren.
