EU elections 2024

  • The Green Party the largest party in Lund in the EU election

  • Therefore, the MP is moving forward – and the SD backward in the 2024 EU elections

  • Jokkmokk’s municipal councilor Henrik Blind was more than satisfied with the result.

    – I woke up with so much joy and I have been dancing in the morning. It’s an absolutely incredible feeling that MP has received 25 percent of the votes in Jokkmokk, it’s a dream come true, he says to SVT Sápmi.

The European Parliament consists of a total of 720 members and Sweden has 21 seats. Just like before, the Green Party will continue to have three mandates.

    – It’s nice to see that the voters have clearly said what they want to see in the next five years.

    “The climate issue is important”

He believes that the MP became the third largest party in Sweden is mainly due to the climate issue.

    – I think it has to do with the questions, that we live in a time where the climate issue is important, that we see how it affects people, reindeer husbandry and other industries.

Alice Bah Kuhnke was the Green Party’s first name on the EU list, while Pär Holmgren was second and Isabella Lövin third.

Henrik Blind was the sixth name but he has not given up on entering the EU Parliament where the final result is expected to come later this week.

    – I will follow the passenger crossing now and see how it goes. If I am elected, I will take on that task, he says.
