Football: Kulusevski: “A lot to work on – convinced that everyone is on board with the process”

During the June gathering for the men’s national soccer team, national team captain Jon Dahl Tomasson tested a different line-up for Sweden. Only three backs instead of four where Jens Cajuste became some kind of left back when the opponent was at Blågult’s penalty area.

– Jon has talked about us training for those matches this autumn. Then you always want to go out and win anyway. We have a lot to work on, but I am convinced that everyone is involved in the process, says Dejan Kulusevski to SVT Sport.

Men’s national football team

  • Zlatan Ibrahimovic was celebrated at the Friends arena after Sweden’s match against Serbia

  • Sweden fell against Serbia – before the tribute to Zlatan Ibrahimovic

  • At the Park against Denmark, the training match ended 1-2 and at home at Friends Arena in front of over 46,000 spectators it was 0-3 against Serbia. Where the guests managed the few chances that the Serbs got.

    – We are a little careless, but we have to try to grind that away and try to do better. But sometimes we also play very good football. If we play like this in the Nations League in the C division, I definitely think we will do great things. I am absolutely not worried about it. We have come a long way since the first collection. I am still positive that we have come this far in such a short time, says Victor Nilsson Lindelöf.

Sweden has Estonia, Azerbaijan and Slovakia in its group in the Nations League, which begins on September 5 in the Azeri capital, Baku.
