Cobblestone Elementary School in Paris is getting a new $4.1 million addition.

Funding for the addition, which will accommodate 184 students, was announced Friday by Brantford-Brant MPP Will Bouma.
Plans call for the addition to be opened by September 2026.
“I’m so pleased that Cobblestone is being expanded for families in Paris,” Bouma said in a prepared statement. “The government continues to be innovative in building and expanding schools.
“As reading, writing and math are the foundations of our education system, state-of-the-art schools that support parents, educators and students continue to be a priority for our government.”
Susan Gibson, chair of the Grand Erie District School Board, thanked the Ministry of Education for its support of the project. The investment ensures the board can continue to provide quality public education in facilities that allow learners to thrive.

“It’s a great investment in the future of this region,” Gibson said.
JoAnna Roberto, the board’s director of education, said investments like this demonstrate an important commitment to building the infrastructure necessary to meet the needs of families across the district.
“The learning spaces this project provides will allow students to get the best starts possible on their educational journeys,” Roberto said.
Located at 179 Grandville Circle, Cobblestone welcomed it’s first students in Sept. 2009 with many of them coming from the former Bethel and Queen’s Ward schools.
