One of the strongest names in the market in terms of diversity, Toyota broke sales records in its hybrid and electric adventure that took 25 years.
Toyota, which has become a tradition especially on the hybrid side of electric power, which has been at the center of the automotive market in recent years, announced that you recently broke a new sales record in itself. The Japanese manufacturer, which uses the hybrid technology it introduced in 1997 for the first time in its entire product range, has managed to exceed 20 million in total in the sales of electric vehicles added to it. While hybrid sales of the brand reached 19 million 560 thousand, a total of 20 million 32 thousand 588 units were sold globally, including electric ones. Toyota, the pioneer and leading brand of hybrid technology, has prevented carbon emissions exceeding 160 million tons with this sale, and has also saved 65 million kiloliters of fuel.

When we look at the data shared by the official sources of the brand, we see that 8 million of the sales are realized in Japan regionally. However, North America with 5 million, Europe with 4 million and China with 1.7 million come to the fore in the table. While the Prius occupies the first place in sales of more than 20 million environmentally friendly cars with 5.77 million units, the Corolla Hybrid product range draws attention with its sales performance of 2.23 million units. The sales volume of RAV4 Hybrid was shared as 1.38 million. Toyota, which has one of the richest product ranges in the current market in terms of engine technology; sells 48 hybrid, 5 plug-in hybrid, 2 fuel cell and 8 electric models all over the world. In Turkey, since 2009, 58 thousand 136 Toyota brand hybrid cars have been sold.
