Brant OPP are investigating the theft of a commercial vehicle from a Shaver Street address in Cainsville.

A white 2003 International 40S 24-foot box truck bearing the license plate AV10251 was stolen from the property sometime after 3 pm on Friday, May 31.

The truck – and its load of about 400 automobile tires – have an estimated total value of $25,000.

Brant resident accused of making threats

A 41-year-old Brant County resident has been charged following an intimate partner violence investigation.

Brant OPP responded to the report of a disturbance at a Paris address just before 5 am on Sunday, June 2.

The accused has been charged with uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm – spousal.

Driver faces numerous charges

A 34-year-old Brant County man is facing charges as the result of a traffic stop in Paris.

Brant OPP officers on general patrol spotted suspicious driving behavior on Rest Acres Road at about 11:50 pm on Friday, May 31.

Officers arrested the driver and took him to the detachment for testing after determining he had consumed alcohol.

The accused has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus); operation while impaired – alcohol; operation while prohibited; drive motor vehicle – not equipped with ignition interlock device; novice driver – BAC above zero; disobey stop sign – fail to stop; and fail to notify change of address.
